Why convert PDFs to images?
Many systems accept images but not PDFs — government forms, social media uploads, customer support tickets, learning management portals. Converting each page of a PDF into a JPG or PNG lets you submit it the way the system wants.
Fileoholic renders pages using PDF.js, the same library that powers PDF preview in Firefox and many other browsers. The render runs locally on your device — no upload, no third-party server. Pick a higher resolution for sharper output, lower for smaller files.
Your files never leave your browser.
All processing runs locally on your device. No uploads, no tracking of file content.
FAQ
How is this different from a screenshot?
We render each page using a real PDF rendering library (pdf.js), so text stays crisp at any resolution. Screenshots are limited by your screen.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF rendering happens in your browser. Files never leave your device.
What resolution should I pick?
2x is good for screen viewing. 3x or 4x is sharper for print or detailed inspection. Higher resolution means longer render time and bigger files.
What is the maximum file size?
30 MB per PDF. Mobile browsers have less memory available than desktops.
Why is the first page slow to render?
The PDF.js library and its worker need to load. After that, each page renders quickly.
Need to extract embedded images instead of rendering pages?
